The Internet is freaking out after learning the singular form of ‘spaghetti’

Twitter users were completely shocked to learn that not only is 'spaghetti' a plural, but the singular form is not what they expected.

Twitter is having a field day with a little piece of reasonably pointless information: the singular form for the word 'spaghetti'. 

It turns out that many amongst us didn't realise that 'spaghetti' was plural, and that the singular form for 'spaghetti', to describe meaning one strand of the thin pasta, is 'spaghetto'. 

Twitter user @caroramsey tweeted out her pasta-related discovery last week, and since then, her tweet (LANGUAGE WARNING) has amassed more than 18,000 retweets and 43,000 likes.

Now, the responses to Caro Ramsey's original tweet have people in stitches with laughter.
