Ingredients

  • 180 g unsalted butter, softened
  • 75 g (⅓ cup) caster sugar
  • 395 g can condensed milk
  • 225 g (1½ cups) self-raising flour
  • 250 g chocolate bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180˚C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Place the butter, sugar and condensed milk in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Beat until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift in the flour and fold until just combined, then stir in the chocolate bits.
  4. Spoon walnut–sized pieces of dough onto the lined trays, leaving room for spreading. Bake for 7–8 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on the trays, then store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
