中国和东南亚各国都在热火朝天地庆祝2018农历新年,各地举办了庙会和市集,家家户户也都准备了丰盛的年饭。

包括北京和上海在内的中国大城市可能要度过一个比较安静的春节了,由于对于空气污染和安全的担心,当局颁布了烟花禁令。而燃放烟花炮竹是中国过年的传统习俗,因此这一禁令受到了一些人的反对。一位姓马的北京市民表示自己的岳父可能会偷偷的放鞭炮,看看禁令是不是真的有那么严格。

中国一年一度的春运也是独有的社会现象,数亿人将会在这一节日期间通过各种途径返回自己的家乡,成就了人类历史上最大的年度迁徙活动。

在泰国曼谷的中国城挤满了世界各地的游客。曼谷拥有一千万华裔居民,约占总人口的七分之一。

新加坡的大街上则是挂满了灯笼,还有传统戏曲的演出以及琳琅满目的小吃。夜幕降临还会有烟火表演照亮城市天际线。马来西亚的人们会在家宴上享用粤菜捞起鱼生,当然舞龙舞狮和放鞭炮也是必不可少的庆祝活动。
