The ECCV 2018 Biennial Statewide Conference will lead a public discussion to address the issues. of unemployment and underemployment of Victorians from culturally diverse backgrounds, with a strong focus on future income earning opportunities to benefit employers, diverse job seekers, business leaders and future entrepreneurs.
SBS Greek attended the conference and the gala dinner event. ECCV's Chairperson, Kris Pavlidis, talked to SBS Greek about the next generation of the multicultural organisation, introducing the Intercultural Youth Advocacy Leaders Group (IYAL). IYAL aim is to prepare young, culturally diverse professionals for leadership and governance roles in Victoria's businesses, government and the community / multicultural sector.

SBS took also part at the Conference with Director of Audio and Language Content, Mandi Wicks and SBS News presenter and Syria-born journalist Sarah Abbo. The gala dinner attendees had the change to hear Sarah's incredible journey and her successful migrant story in the Australian media world.
Also, present were the Minister for Multicultural Affairs of Victoria, Robin Scott and, the Chairperson of Victorian Multicultural Commission, Helen Kapalos.
