Sandra Mancini-Dimovska who we met at the opening of the 'Macedonian Pearls' new modern classroom in Wollongong, says she wants her daughters Sophia and Lara to not only learn the language but also the culture and the traditions of their ancestors. Both cultures, the Brazilian and the Macedonian are very similar and family oriented, says Mancini-Dimovska. The SBS National Languages Competition 2019 is an SBS Radio initiative to encourage and celebrate a love of learning languages in Australia. Visit sbs.com.au/nlc19 to enter.
