The Family and friends are mourning the death of an Indian youth who died in a road accident in Melbourne.

Seeranpreet Singh’s life was tragically cut short in a fatal truck smash at Sydney Road in Melbourne last Thursday.

Singh, 25, moved to Australia four years back from his native village in Firozpur, Punjab.

Singh’s friend Suarav Batra told that he was a temporary Australian resident waiting for an approval to his Permanent residency.

“He came to Australia in 2013 on a student visa. He was a free spirit and full of life. About five months ago, we’re busy celebrating his marriage. We can’t believe it happened.”

"The accident was brutal. We are told that he died on the spot. Very sad to hear about this loss."

"He was doing a Roadside Assistant job with RACV. He was driving a van at the time of his death," said another friend.
Seeran’s cousin R Joshan said: “Such a tragic end to young life. He came here to build his life as a migrant."

"He was very hard working, vibrant and full of energy. We will miss him dearly.”
