Police were called after a masked man forcefully entered the house of Indian students living in Sunshine, in Western Melbourne.
Amrik Singh told SBS that the invader had an iron rod, which he used to break the windows and doors to make a forced entry.
At the time of invasion there were four people inside the house.
Mr Singh said that it was a terrifying moment for all the residents.
“He thrashed everything and he also took some of our money."
“Late last night, our neighbor had a forced invasion by a masked man."
"This was the time when I heard someone shouting for help at the back of our house.”
“By the time, I could react this man started thrashing our entry door.”
“He made a forced entry. It seemed like he was under the influence of some drugs.”
“He was angrily asking, ‘where is marijuana’. We had no clue of what was going on.”
“Thank God, he did not hurt anyone. We saved ourselves by locking inside the bathroom.”
“He kept thrashing the bathroom door. This was the time when we called Police.”
“I don’t know if he was acting alone. There could be more people outside waiting for him.”
“By the time Police reached the scene, he managed to escape.”
