Veerender Jubbal, a Canada-based Sikh youth was targeted with social media misinformation for the second time when he was wrongly labelled as the attacker behind Nice attack and his photo shopped image posted on twitter.

The same image was circulated with misleading description last year after the Paris attack.

A photo of Veerender holing an iPad was digitally altered to make him look like wearing a bullet-proof vest and holding the Koran.

The image was posted on twitter on Thursday after the Nice attack in France which killed more than 70 people.

The twitter account @officialsamhyde was later suspended after the mischief was reported.
Several social media users were able to identify the fake image, but not before it was once again circulated on Facebook and twitter.

Veerender, who describes himself as "a freelance writer/ journalist, a social justice healer, and a diversity consultant", started the hashtag #StopGamerGate2014. Which is the reason why he had posed with an Ipad in the first place. A GamerGate supporter is said to have circulated his photo shopped image after Paris attacks last year.
