Brazil's women's team has had plenty of huge stars over the years, such as Marta who has won the FIFA Player of the Year award a record six times.
But the failure of the team to win a Women's World Cup is hard to explain for even their most ardent supporters.
Loraine Gomes, 27, was born in Sao Paulo and has lived in Australia for the past two years. She used to play professionally in Sao Paulo in the Women's Futsal League.
She believes Brazil's shortcomings may be because of an over-reliance on a handful of star players.
"I can't tell you why the women of Brazil hasn't won the cup once. It's a really good team full of individuals that are great players. But I think as a team their performance is not too good, unlike Australia which has a really good team."

Brazil's men's team has lifted the most prized trophy in world football on five occasions, placing even more pressure on its women.
Fernanda da Rosa, 28, was born in Rio Grande do Sul and has been living in Australia for two years.
She believes a win in France would provide a big boost to women's football back home.
"I hope they win and I hope it will help the girls to get the resources they need to play professional because now its just men."
But even if that happens both Fernanda and Loraine say women's standing in some sections of society needs to improve there.

Discrimination and violence are much more prevalent than in Australia, says Loraine.
"Brazil is an amazing country but it's not safe there. It's really dangerous, I'm so sad about my family and everyone I love who lives there. If I can stay here forever I will be here forever, for sure."
Loraine and Fernanda both travel across Sydney every Tuesday evening to join in a game of indoor football with like-minded Brazilian players. There they can socialise, relax and enjoy the game they were brought up to love.
The difference between Australia and Brazil in terms of football is huge according to Fernanda.
"I miss the passion for football in Brazil. There I used to play like almost every day, and here as soon as I got here I struggled to find a team."

If Brazil does win this time around, the Brazilian community living in Australia knows exactly how they'll mark the moment.
"Of course we're going to have a real Brazilian BBQ to celebrate" Loraine said.
Brazil is in group C in France alongside Jamaica, Italy and Australia. They play Jamaica first at 11.30pm (AEST) on 9 June.
The 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup takes place in France, 7 June-7 July.
