A satirical song about One Nation politician Pauline Hanson by Victorian brother and sister duo Caleb and Annabel Ziegeler has gone viral.
'Pauline', which is set to the music of Dolly Parton's 'Jolene', has been viewed more than 34,000 times since Caleb shared it on his.
"Following Pauline Hanson's incredible burqa stunt in Parliament yesterday, I thought it necessary to write a little parody honouring everyone's favourite flame-haired Senator," Caleb Ziegeler, a 23-year-old environmental labourer from Warnambool, wrote in the post.
"The idea first came to me when Pauline Hanson went and visited the , and she said it was all perfectly healthy because she'd visited a healthy area," Caleb tells SBS World News.
"But then over the past year she's done a few more interesting things, and then the burqa stunt was the straw that broke the camel's back, I guess."
Caleb "whipped it up" over the course of an hour on Friday with Annabel, 19, and posted it that evening.
"Your racist views are out of date, don't want no-one to immigrate, it's time that you stopped spreading hate, Pauline," Caleb sings.
"Say to prevent terror attacks, we must send all the Muslims back, ban the burqa and halal snack pack, Pauline," Annabel follows up.
While the siblings have dabbled in musical theatre, neither of them are professional musicians.
They have been surprised by the reaction to their video.
"I wasn't expecting this sort of reception at all. It sort of just blew up a little bit. I suppose because it was relevant and in the news, everyone just jumped on board," he says.
"The reaction's been mostly positive. There's been a few Pauline Hanson supporters out there who haven't taken to it quite as kindly. But the majority of the reception has been good, and people have found the humour in it."
"I'm not sure [if Pauline's seen it]. I saw that [Senator] Sam Dastyari commented on it, so there's obviously some politicians out there who have seen it."
The pair did a parody last year on the American gun laws, and have considered doing something on Donald Trump "but I think there's probably too much to work with there."
Comment has been sought from Pauline Hanson's office.
