Telstra says its network has been restored following the most recent outage which this time affected Victorian businesses.

The Aussie telco giant says the network issue was restored around 8.30pm and it is working with customers to confirm their services are working again.

"We apologise to all affected customers and their customers for the impact that this has caused," a Telstra spokesman said in a statement late Thursday.

Those affected by Thursday's outages included the Jetstar terminal at Melbourne Airport and The Royal District Nursing Service which visits clients in the home.

The latest outage is at least the sixth network problem of Australia's biggest telco, since February.

The outages come after the telco giant pledged Wednesday to spend a further $200 million on improving its network following the string of outages, which damaged its reputation.
