Some say that traits skip a generation, but that isn't the case for Cathy Freeman's daughter.
Eleven-year-old Ruby Anne Susie Murch stunned onlookers as she legged it across the finish line at a record pace during her school athletics event.
A video circulating online sees Ruby streak down the track for the 200 metre dash at Murrumbeena athletics field.
Dressed in yellow, some see a spitting image of her mother, with many noting the signs of Freeman's iconic running style.
The youngster also competed in the 100-metre sprint, relay and high jump.
Born in July 2011, Ruby is the first child of Ms Freeman and her husband James Murch. The pair met at a charity ball and were married in 2009.

In 2014, when Ruby was only 3, Ms Freeman sat down with Karla Grant on NITV's Living Black to talk about her journey with motherhood.
"This kid rocks my world," she laughed.
"If you want to question who you actually are, you'll find the answers, I find the answers about who I really am in the way in which I am a mother to this little girl.
"She tests me, she stretches me, she brings out the worst in me but she just brings out all of who I am.
"Parenthood's tough, but I'm loving every single second of it even when I feel completely powerless."
Now residing in Melbourne, Ms Freeman has always been notably private about her personal life, but her daughter may soon be making a public name for herself.
