4. Welcome back to The Jungle

The Wildcats opened their season with a win at home against the Phoenix on Sunday. Five Days later South East Melbourne are back and they will be determined to get one back on the reigning NBL champions.

Brisbane Bullets v Cairns Taipans

5. Sunshine state stoush

It’s a Queensland rivalry on Saturday as Brisbane play host to Cairns in a match which always means a little more to the players.

6. Payback time

The Bullets embarrassed the Taipans 124-88 in the final game of the NBL20 season, so can the Snakes make up for that embarrassing defeat with a big win this time around?

Adelaide 36ers v Sydney Kings

7. Old faces

36ers big man Isaac Humpries goes up against former side the Sydney Kings for the first time on Saturday and will be out to show how he has taken his game to a new level since his NBL Rookie of the Year-winning season during 2016-17 in the Harbour City.

Melbourne United v South East Melbourne Phoenix

8. Derby days

NBL action returns to Victoria in a big way on Sunday with the fifth throwdown between cross-city rivals Melbourne United and South East Melbourne Phoenix. Can the Phoenix make a statement and end United’s flawless start to NBL21?
