Ball posted his record-breaking stats (22 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists) for the Charlotte Hornets in their win over the Atlanta Hawks yesterday.

"A 19-year-old rookie does not look like this," said Hornets coach James Borrego.

"This is rare what you're seeing."
Ball was also just one assist shy of breaking the record two nights earlier against older brother Lonzo's New Orleans Pelicans.

"I live my life and I know what I'm capable of, so stuff like doesn't move me like that," Ball said of his accomplishment.

"I know that's supposed to happen."

Ball was the third pick of the 2020 NBA draft after his unconventional decision to spend the prior season in the NBL with Illawarra, going on to be named Rookie of the Year.
