Basically everyone on Twitter is furious at Trump for banning transgender people from the military

Social media users are furious, devastated, and defiant in the face of POTUS Donald Trump announcing a blanket ban on transgender people serving in the US military.

Late last night saw the President of the United States, Donald Trump, send out three tweets announcing that transgender people would no longer be allowed to serve in the US military.
A protest rally against Trump's decision to discriminate against transgender troops has been happening in New York City overnight, with plenty of transgender celebrities, allies and activists speaking out against the announcement.
However, thousands of other people are tweeting their support for the transgender community, and transgender troops in particular, via social media.

But the most powerful tweets came from current and former trans members of the US Armed Forces (including former US soldier Chelsea Manning), who tweeted their disbelief over the decision:
Respected Australian writer Catherine McGregor - who is a Member of the Order of Australia for her outstanding service as the former highest-ranking transgender military officer in the Australian army - spoke out about the decision on Twitter, saying the ban was an unsurprising move from POTUS Trump.
