Musician Harry Styles has congratulated Australia for voting in favour of legalising same-sex marriage at a performance in Sydney last night

Styles took a moment during last night’s show at the Enmore Theatre to share his thoughts on the recent same-sex marriage postal survey.

“A massive congratulations to you, to your country for waking up,” Styles told the crowd before launching into his song, "Woman".
Styles then pulled the rainbow flag and—for the first time at one of his concerts—the pansexual flag from his pockets and joyfully paraded on the stage with one in each hand.
Fans in the audience—and online—have been cheering on his vocal support for same-sex marriage and his use of the pan flag.
Just last week, Lorde made similar comments about same-sex marriage in Australia at her Sydney Opera House show.

“Congrats on passing same-sex marriage, by the way!" she told an ecstatic crowd before draping a rainbow flag around her shoulders.
The New Zealander then broke into an impromptu version of Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance With Somebody (Who Loves Me)".

“I’m very proud of you,” she told the crowd, tearing up. “This is the crying show, I don’t know if you know that,” she added.
