Three players from an Indonesian football team have been photographed in a unique multifaith goal celebration. 

Bali United's Hindu defender Ngurah Nanak, Christian forward Yabes Roni and Muslim striker Miftahul Hamdi are pictured side-by-side in the three religion's prayer positions after Yabes scored the second goal in their 3-0 victory against Borneo FC.

The team shared the photo, which was taken by Miftahuddin Halim, on their Facebook page with the caption: "Because different beliefs will not prevent us from achieving the same goals".
Yabes said the demonstration was a deliberate show of unity.

"Even though we all come from different religions and ethnicities, we're all one," Yabes told , translated by

"We have to protect the country's harmony and stay united."

The photographer who captured the moment said he was "glad that photo serves as an example for people. Soccer can unite the country". 

Bali United's post has so far been shared more than 11,800 times.
