Actor Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend—model Stella Maxwell—have crashed a wedding reception in Canada over the weekend, .

The brides—Kirsten and Kayleigh Jennings—wed in a small backyard ceremony followed by a party at Pizzeria Gusto in Winnipeg and weren’t expecting the high profile guests to attend.

Kirsten says the restaurant owner approached her and her wife and said, “Hey, is it OK if Kristen Stewart and her girlfriend Stella [Maxwell] come and have a few drinks with you guys?'

“And I was like, 'Yeah, totally! Yeah, no problem. Um, who is that?'" she said.
Stewart has been in Winnipeg shooting a film and had recently reached out to the pizzeria owner for help with a private event.

Bride Kayleigh said they made the decision to treat the actor and her Victoria’s Secret model girlfriend as “random guests” and to treat them with “Winnipeg hospitality”.

"We got to be formally introduced before they came in and partied with us. We got a chance to shake her hand and shake Stella's hand," said Kayleigh. "I actually wasn't as star-struck as I thought I would be."

"They looked just like two normal girls,” added Kirsten.

“They look a little Hollywood, but if we didn't know who they were, I don't know if I would have known. We said 'Hey, you know. Come on and meet your guests and, you know, don't segregate yourselves. Come and party'."
The famous couple stayed from 10pm til 1am, dancing to Beastie Boys tunes and blending in with other guests at the reception.

BuzzFeed Canada that the newlywed couple’s friend Rob—who had been dancing with Stewart’s blazer on his head—told the actor, “I loved you in Harry Potter”.

Earlier this year, Stewart hosted Saturday Night Live and discussed how Donald Trump had negatively tweeted about her 11 times, criticising her relationship with Robert Pattinson.

“Donald, if you didn’t like me then you’re really probably not going to like me now because I’m hosting SNL and I’m like…so gay, dude,” Stewart said in her opening monologue.
