Lizzo has given us all yet another reason to love her as she addressed Australia’s bushfire crisis during her show at the Sydney Opera House last night.

She delivered a heartfelt speech onstage before launching into a performance of her hit single, Juice, tellling the audience how connected to felt to them during the bushfires.

“I just want to tell you, more than my heart going with you, I am with you. I am with you every step of the way. I will not shut up until you get these fires out. I’m an artist and that’s what artists do, they speak up for the people.”

Her speech was met with cheers and applause from the 2000 who were lucky to snag a ticket to the sold out show. She went on to tell the audience that there were donations buckets at the show.

Lizzo told them “I’m donating and I wanted to facilitate that at my show.”
They were treated to Lizzo playing a rendition of Juice on the flute. Lizzo  told the audience it was a dream come true to play her flute at the Sydney Opera House.
The loud and hugely enthusiastic audience also witnessed the powerhouse perform a number of her other hits including Good as Hell and Truth Hurts.

It wouldn’t have been a Lizzo show without her famous pep talks and words of encouragement for her fans. That message of love that has become Lizzo’s brand certainly seems to have put concertgoers on cloud nine with many taking to social media after the show to share their thoughts.
The success of her solo show in Sydney followed Lizzo’s announcement via Twitter on Sunday afternoon that she would be leaving Twitter indefinitely. Having previously copped criticism about her body and unapologetic message of self-love, she cited trolls as the reason for her decision to step back from the platform.
But in true Lizzo style she’s not letting the haters dictate her life, promising fans that she’d be back when she feels like it.
