Cara McCann and Amanda McGurk have already set their wedding date for Valentines Day 2019, but first they need to help achieve marriage equality in Northern Ireland.
The couple are traveling from Belfast to London to speak to politicians about a marriage bill being tabled by MP Conor McGinn in the House of Commons tomorrow.
"We don’t have the same rights as the people who live in the same country as us," McCann told .
"We pay the same taxes. It’s a fundamental rights issue. I’m treated as a second-class citizen."
She continued: "Why should we have to wait? We have family members and friends who are old."
"Tomorrow is promised to no one."
Nuala McAllister, Lord Mayor of Belfast, took to Twitter to wish the couple luck.
"Good luck to Cara and Amanda!" She tweeted.
"Thank you for being the public face behind the campaign, it isn't always easy and we hope that you may celebrate your marriage soon. Look forward to seeing you again."
As well as addressing politicians, the couple will be handing in a petition with 30,000 signatures.
"It’s really frustrating that we know the public are behind us and the elected representatives are behind us," McGurk said.
"We’ve won the hearts and minds of the public. But we still can’t get it passed because of a bigoted few."
Northern Ireland is the only part of Ireland and the UK to not have passed marriage equality.
