Transgender model and activist Chella Man is getting ready to make his television debut, with the first trailer to the new season of DC's Titans revealing a glimpse of his character, Jericho.

It was announced earlier this year by that Man would play Jericho, the son of Deathstroke, in the series, a character which debuted in 1984's Tales of the Teen Titans #43.

“As a Deaf individual who uses sign language on a daily basis, Jericho’s primary mode of communication hits close to home,” Man , sharing the trailer.
“I RARELY saw sign language authentically represented on screen growing up, so this incredible opportunity has made my heart soar.”

Man added: “Who you are should NEVER limit what you dream to achieve. Take it from a deaf, queer, Jewish, person of colour who has always dreamed of being a superhero and has now been granted that exact opportunity."

Man, who identifies as genderqueer and uses the pronouns he/him,  "Jericho’s mysterious powers are activated by his gaze - if he locks eyes with people he can control their bodies."
