Bangladeshi Australian Furqan Chowdhury has achieved “Queen’s Scout” Certificate

Bangladeshi originated Australian Furqan Chowdhury has achieved “Queen’s Scout” the highest award of the scout movement. On March 3, the Governor of New South Wales David Harley handed over the certificate signed by Queen Elizabeth to Furqan. In Bangladesh, the award is similar to “The President Scout.”

In the message of the certificate, Queen Elizabeth stated, "you have prepared yourself for service to your God and all people, and have shown yourself a worthy member of the worldwide SCOUT MOVEMENT. I wish you God-speed on your journey through life; may it prove for you a joyous adventure."

This proud achievement did not come to Furqan so easily. Furqan won the highest medal in the previous three stages of venture scout. To cross over the stage, 60 kilometers of “Bush Walks” was done by him in four nights and five days. He lost direction in the jungle, but after six hours led back safely with the other scout members. Which has been added as a 'plus point' to achieve the "Queen's Scout" award.

Furqan's father former councilor Dr. Shahadat Chowdhury is with the Scout Movement for thirty years. He is the Idol to Furqan. He said, "Anything is possible to achieve if there is an efficient effort."

Dr. Shahadat Chowdhury said, "I am very happy. He had to learn lots of things to achieve this certificate, which I can't teach him. It's a proud moment for Bangladesh as well." 

While writing this report, Furqan Chowdhury, who won the 'Queen's Scout' Certificate has left for hiking camp for three nights and four days. All the scout members of New South Wales are joining there.
