Living Black host Karla Grant returns for the program's 21st year, kicking off season 31 on April 22nd. The show remains Australia's longest-running Indigenous current affairs program, offering a powerful platform for First Nations voices.

In a conversation with NITV Radio, Karla Grant confirmed that the 14-part new season will delve into critical issues facing Indigenous communities, with investigations tackling everything from black cladding to the redevelopment of Sydney's The Block.

This season, guests include musician Emily Wurramara, comedian Andy Saunders, former entertainer and radio broadcaster Candy Devine, photographer Barbara McGrady, artist Blak Douglas, Cherokee chef, caterer and student of traditional Indigenous cuisines Nico Albert Williams (ᏣᎳᎩᎯ ᎠᏰᎵ Cherokee Nation) and more.

At Living Black, we remain committed to sharing the stories of our people. We continue to give Indigenous peoples a voice across the country, and this year we're also going global – interviewing international talent about issues that affect all First Nations peoples.
