Australia was slower to get COVID-19 vaccines in arms than initially expected, with the country's rollout impacted by delays - but in 2022 is seeing strong numbers across many demographics.

Vaccinations by state and territory
States and territories varied their approaches to the vaccine rollout. Some moved early to open vaccination hubs, while others made younger age groups eligible for the jab.
The following graphic shows the percentage of people aged 12 and over who are partially or fully vaccinated in each jurisdiction. People in Australia currently require two jabs to be fully vaccinated, with millions of booster shots (a third vaccine) expected to be administered in 2022.
